KS3 maths support that meets pupils where they are

A structured, step-by-step maths programme designed for pupils who need a different pace and a clearer path – while giving teachers and TAs the visibility to support every one of them.

The challenge in KS3 maths

In a standard classroom, the pace is set for the group. Pupils who need a little more time – whether due to SEND, ADHD tendencies, or lower confidence – can fall behind quickly, and teachers rarely have the bandwidth to personalise learning for everyone.

Lost confidence is hard to win back

Once a pupil falls behind the class pace, disengagement sets in fast – and rebuilding that confidence takes far longer than closing the gap ever would have.

Struggling pupils learn to hide it

In a busy classroom, the pupils who are quietly struggling are often the hardest to spot – they've learned to look like they're keeping up.

Real support is expensive and hard to scale

Effective one-to-one support often means specialist programmes, careful setup and significant cost – a barrier that puts it out of reach for many schools.

Without data, you can't know what's working

Without clear data on where each pupil actually is, it's hard to know whether an intervention is working – or where to focus next.

Wavelength in practice

Designed for pupils who need a different pace – and for the teachers and SENCOs responsible for them.

Step-by-step video lessons inside Wavelength

Lessons that move at the right pace

Each lesson unfolds in short, structured steps – short videos and interactive challenges are combined to provide learning at each pupil's level. Pupils only move forward when they're genuinely ready, and the platform adjusts the difficulty around them as they go. No more falling behind because the class moved on.

The Wavelength teacher dashboard showing live pupil progress

Teachers are always in the loop

Teachers and SENCOs get a live picture of how every pupil is getting on – who's progressing, who's stuck, and where understanding has broken down. The insights that would normally take hours to pull together are simply there, and the reports write themselves.

Accessibility features inside Wavelength

Built for accessibbility

The whole platform is designed around how pupils with SEND and attention-related needs actually learn – including optional dyslexic-friendly text, closed captions, a calm interface and a personalised guide for every pupil. It meets them where they are, not where the curriculum expects them to be.

For your whole school

Pupils make progress.
Teachers stay in control.

The same platform that gives pupils a personalised learning path gives teachers instant visibility into who is struggling, and gives SENCOs the reporting data they need – without adding to anyone's workload.

For pupils

  • Pupils with SEND or ADHD tendencies who struggle with the pace of a standard classroom
  • Lower-confidence learners who need smaller steps, quicker wins and the space to revisit
  • Pupils with gaps who need to start from where they actually are, not where the curriculum expects them to be
  • Any pupil who thrives when they are in control of their own progress

For teachers

  • Real-time progress view across every pupil in the class
  • Visibility into where each pupil is stuck, and for how long
  • Mood and confidence check-ins built into the learning flow
  • AI-generated insights into patterns, strengths and emerging gaps

For SENCOs & leaders

  • One TA, multiple pupils – each on a different, individually-paced learning journey
  • No planning or resource prep required – Wavelength handles the adaptation
  • Progress and engagement data feeds directly to the SENCO without a paper trail
  • Better outcomes at a fraction of the cost of traditional one-to-one intervention
  • Safe and private – UK-hosted, with no personal student data leaving the platform

Our Lady of Sion School

It has been a hugely positive experience, boosting the confidence of the girls and letting them learn at their own pace. I think it's particularly well adapted to maths, when pupils will sometimes stop asking questions in front of a class… It could change their view of a subject.
Loreto College

Loreto College

The students have enjoyed these sessions as they find it more adaptable to their needs and they don't have to be competing or trying to fit into lessons. They are eager to know when they will start again for this year.

Frequently asked questions

What year groups does Wavelength support?
Our initial rollout focuses on KS3 maths (Years 7–9). We are building towards further year groups and subjects.
How does it fit alongside our existing teaching?
Wavelength is designed as a supplement, not a replacement. Teachers assign programmes; pupils work through steps at their own pace, and their progress can be monitored from the dashboard by their teacher or support staff.
What does setup look like?
We handle onboarding and will work directly with your team to configure classes, assign pupils and get teachers comfortable with the dashboard.
Is it suitable for pupils with SEND or ADHD?
Yes – self-paced, step-by-step learning with short video explanations is particularly effective for pupils who find the standard classroom pace difficult to follow.
Is our pupils' data safe?
Yes. Wavelength is fully UK-hosted and no personal student data is ever shared with third parties. The platform is built from the ground up to meet the privacy expectations of UK schools and the families they serve.
