A platform model for personalised learning that can work in practice
Wavelength is building a practical model for personalised learning that works in real classrooms: meaningful for pupils, and manageable for the teachers responsible for them.
What Wavelength is
Wavelength turns real teaching into structured, assignable learning steps – then uses each pupil's responses to route them toward what is most likely to help them next. The result is something closer to a smart tutorial partner than a content library: always adapting, always grounded in real pedagogy, and always transparent to the teacher.
Why this product shape matters
Most attempts at personalised learning go in one of two directions: rigid content that adapts nothing, or open-ended AI that is hard to oversee. Wavelength sits between them – structured enough to be trustworthy in a school setting, flexible enough to genuinely personalise.
Grounded in real pedagogy
Every learning step is created and approved by a real educator – no generated content, no hallucinated explanations. Teaching that has been thought through by someone who does it for a living.
Deep teacher visibility
Dashboards, AI-generated progress insights, and automated reports give teachers and SENCOs a complete picture of every learner – built to reduce admin, not add to it.
Private by design
UK-hosted end-to-end. No personal student data is shared with third parties – built to pass the scrutiny of school procurement and parental trust from day one.
What we've proven so far
Our first live trial across 10 schools gave us strong early evidence that the model works – and more importantly, that it works for the pupils who need it most.

Where we started
Why KS3 maths first
We started with KS3 maths because the need is clear, the impact is measurable, and gaps in confidence at this stage can quickly become long-term barriers. The structured, self-paced format of Wavelength is particularly well-suited to exactly the pupils who need support most.
Vision
Where this can go
- Further subjects beyond KS3 maths
- Deeper SEND support and structured interventions
- Further phases of school (KS4, post-16)
- Integrations with school MIS and existing platforms
- Teacher-facing productivity and planning tools
