The problem

When a pupil does not get the support they need during their school years, it can shape everything that comes after.
In classrooms under pressure, lessons often have to work for the majority. That means many pupils – especially those with SEND, ADHD tendencies, lower confidence, or gaps in understanding – can end up disconnected, overwhelmed, or left behind.

Where we're starting
Starting with KS3 maths, for attention-related needs
KS3 maths is where we're building first – a subject where gaps in confidence, focus, and understanding can quickly become long-term barriers. We're starting with programmes made for students with attention-related needs like ADHD, and we're working to expand this to help students across a neurodiverse classroom.

What we've seen so far
Our first live trial across 10 UK schools was designed to help students with attention-related difficulties learn KS3 maths over a 4-week intervention. Here's what happened when learning matched each pupil's needs: confidence rose, focus improved, results followed – and every teacher who took part said they would recommend Wavelength to another school.
